Petrina Lewis, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified podiatrist and the founder of Southwest Foot & Ankle Center, providing complete foot and ankle care to people of all ages living in and around Scottsdale, Arizona, and throughout Maricopa County.

Dr. Lewis was born in Texas and lived there until she was five years old before moving to Fremont, California. She began her career pursuits at the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning her Bachelor of Science in biology.

After graduation, Dr. Lewis enrolled at the California College of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. She excelled in the program, obtaining her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Lewis completed a one-year podiatric surgical residency at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and a two-year residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Healthsouth Green River Surgical Center in Auburn, Washington.

Dr. Lewis takes a patient-centric approach to podiatry. She never rushes consultations and makes time to answer questions and address concerns. 

When it comes to treatment, Dr. Lewis embraces the role of an expert guide. She combines healthy lifestyle changes and cutting-edge techniques to relieve foot and ankle pain and enhance mobility.

Dr. Lewis proudly holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Arizona State Podiatric Medical Association. She’s also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Outside the office, Dr. Lewis enjoys working out at OrangeTheory Fitness and spending time with her husband, three kids, and four dogs. She welcomes anyone experiencing foot or ankle pain to Southwest Foot & Ankle Center today.
